Technique Camp
2024 TECHNIQUE CAMP - June 16-20
This camp is for the wrestler looking to improve on the best and easiest way to get a takedown, score off bottom, and different ways to ride from the top position. Learn how to score with your techniques.
Technique Camp ends with a single elimination tournament Thursday morning at 9am. Parents are welcome to watch the tournament at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
TECHNIQUE CAMP REGISTRATION FEES:
Resident Camper: $425 (10 years old & up)
Fee includes instruction, lodging, meals, insurance, use of facilities, and a top quality camp shirt.
Commuter Camper: $300 (7 years old & up)
Fee include instruction, insurance, use of facilities, and a top quality camp shirt. (Does NOT include lodging or meals)
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. No refunds will be made except under unusual circumstances. The balance is due at or before registration. Only cash or a money order will be accepted at check-in to pay remaining balance. To pay with credit card, you must do so by logging in to Active and pay your balance.
Group discount of $10 per camper applied for groups of eight or more.
FACILITIES and LOCATION:
Facilities for the OSU Wrestling Camps are some of the finest in the country. Campers will stay at Bennett Suite Dorms. Each camp has a Student Union Building on campus with pool, ping-pong, foosball, video games, pinball and a snack bar.
SUPERVISION and RULES:
Participants will be supervised during all organized times and in the dorms. Campers will be required to attend all assigned activities and instruction sessions. Those enrolled in the camp must comply with all rules and regulations governing conduct of the students on campus. Any violations or abuse of these rules will cause immediate dismissal from the camp without a refund.
We will use every precaution to prevent accidents. We do not, however, assume any responsibility for medical, dental, or other expenses incurred as a result of accidents. A parent or guardian must sign the application before a wrestler will be accepted into the camp.
Minimum age for resident campers is 10 years old and minimum age for commuter is 7 years old.
HEALTH INSURANCE:
Participants in all the camps will be covered by secondary accident insurance provided by the camp's tuition. The non-duplicating policy covers medical expenses within the range of its limits, except for those costs covered by any other valid and collectible insurance policies. No one will be admitted to the camp without a signed release and a given insurance policy number.
WHAT TO BRING:
Each camper will be expected to supply his own bedding (dorm twin with pillow or sleeping bag with pillow), workout gear (shoes, shirts, shorts, singlets), toiletries, shower towel, etc.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Registration for Technique camp will be from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Bennett Suite Dorm. After registering, each camper will be sent a confirmation email. (check your email's spam/junk folder if not received within 24 hour of registering)
Transportation to and from camp is each camper's responsibility. Flights should be made into Stillwater or Oklahoma City. To make arrangements for airline pickup/delivery call (405) 372-2713 or email okstatewrestlingcamps@gmail.com with itinerary. A $25 charge for Oklahoma City airport pickup/delivery (140 miles round trip) or $10 charge for Stillwater airport pickup/delivery is required by an NCAA rule, not a camp rule. NCAA rules do permit seniors to attend summer camps.
We will have as many staff members as possible at each camp. Because of training schedules, we can't guarantee that everyone listed will be at every camp.
